About 310 km and a genuine full-day drive. The classic Himachal road trip from Chandigarh, and the one worth taking a bigger car for.

The road to Manali
Outstation rules apply on this route. NH-205 and NH-3 through Ropar, Bilaspur, Sundernagar and Mandi, then up the Kullu valley. Most of it is four-lane and fast; the section through Mandi and the Aut tunnel is where the time actually goes.
The Kiratpur to Nerchowk stretch has improved enormously, but landslide season in July and August can add hours without warning. Check conditions before you leave in monsoon.
Where to stop on the way
Sundernagar lake for the first proper break. Mandi for lunch. Kullu if you want shawls without Manali prices. Fuel up before the Aut tunnel rather than after.
Outstation is allowed on every car in the fleet. Sedans run ₹12–18 per km, SUVs ₹16–24 per km, and we deliver anywhere in the Tricity before you set off.
